Description

Newly created role for an additional .Net, C# Software Developer who has some experience developing new ERP solutions and customising and creating new modules. In an ideal world, you would have worked on the development of Sage 200 solutions or any other similar ERP systems such as Dynamics NAV, Infor, PS Financials, Access Dimensions, Exact ERP, Sage X3, Dynamics AX, Greentree, Protean, Intact ERP, JDE, Oracle EBS, Coda, or Agresso etc. But they would also be happy to look at keen C#.Net Developers who have worked with similar application software such as field service, HR, payroll, automotive, DMS, pensions, finance, or insurance solutions and so on.

The job can be home based or you could work from an office in one of their 5 UK locations. Salary to £40k plus bonuses. You will be part of a team of 6 innovative software developers who work primarily with Sage 200 and Sage CRM, but also on some bespoke ERP solutions developed in-house. Projects are interesting and challenging and can range from new development of add-on solutions, to software customisations and enhancements. So this could be anything from developing new functionality for Sage 200, SOP & POP development, e-commerce integrations, creation of custom fields and WinForms applications, to website integration and simple modifications. You will also help out with the support team.

Key skills required a track record in software development with the Microsoft stack - .Net, C#, and T-SQL, along with ERP, Sage 200 or similar business application software, plus a sound understanding of commercial businesses and their processes, in order to understand your clients' needs. Additional interesting experience could be web development with ASP.Net or PHP, or WinForms, SQL Server, Scrum or Agile development, knowledge of manufacturing systems, or open-source or native mobile applications development.

You communicate well with external clients, produce clear, high quality documentation, manage your work load efficiently, and understand the full development life cycle. You will be expected to be capable of working independently on your own development projects, so you will have a lot of autonomy, but you will join the team on larger projects, and liaise with the software development manager for development scoping.

The company is a highly regarded ERP consultancy of around 40 people, with multiple UK offices and they are turning over around £4 million. They have been selling, developing and implementing ERP software for more than 20 years, and have now reached a new phase of real growth. There is an air of positivity and creativity here, they have a close-knit team, the directors are very tech savvy, hands on and approachable, and they will ensure that your career develops, and they keep you challenged and motivated.

Location wise, Durham is a marker point, you can work from home full time, or in one of their offices in the Midlands, the North of England or London. This company is really going places in the world of Sage at the moment, and it is a great time to join them and be part of that success.
