Description

We are looking for a savvy Application Support Consultant who has prior experience supporting accounting software or a background in IT support with bookkeeping or accounting skills, plus has decent knowledge of SQL. Our client is a global company based in Milton Keynes, with more than 30 offices around the world, 1000 staff in Europe alone, and an excellent reputation. Salary to £40k plus bonus, private healthcare and 5 weeks' holiday.

The role is working as a key member of a global team to provide first and second level analysis and support to stakeholders with accounting software related problems, and requires SQL query skills for investigating issues. You can be office or home based, they are very flexible, but you will have to go into the office two days a week so ideally you live within 90 minutes' drive of Milton Keynes.

You will have previously worked in a 1st Line or 2nd Line Application Support role, helping clients or end users with their accounting software queries and troubleshooting systems issues. You will be responsible for managing incoming support calls and emails, investigating and resolving application problems using SQL queries, and escalating issues to the development team where appropriate, documenting results and ensuring SLA's and a high level of customer service is met.

Ideally you will have experience with software solutions such as SunSystems, Exchequer, PS Financials, Dynamics NAV, Sage 200, Kerridge K8, OpenAccounts, Xero Accounting, SAP Business One, Intact ERP, Pegasus Opera, BrightPearl, COINS, Yardi, Tramps, Pex, Dynamics GP, SunAccounts, Epicor, Access Dimensions, Agresso, Pinewood, Sage 50, Sage One, Infor or similar.

This is a busy support department backed up by Implementation Consultants, Developers, Project Managers and Pre-Sales people and the company has over 6000 clients. Their software solution is flexible and user friendly and covers accounts, billing, invoicing, lettings, rents, inventory, sales & CRM, property management, asset management and much more.

The main requirement is knowledge of accounting software or the accounting modules of ERP type software solutions, plus SQL skills. They want someone who is motivated, switched-on, has attention to detail, great problem-solving skills, builds strong client relationships and really enjoys dealing with and talking to people.

You will provide first class Application Support as part of their knowledgeable team, finding solutions and above all, keeping your clients happy. This is a great place to work, it's professional and it is fun as well. They are very successful and pass some of that back by giving to their community, so there are lots of events and socials going on, which will soon stop being virtual and will be in reality again!

If this sounds like you and Milton Keynes is a good location for you to get to a couple of days a week, then get in touch with Jake King or Carolyn MacLurg at Ambis Resourcing.
