Accounts Assistant who wants to move into IT Software Support

This is an interesting role for an Accounts Assistant, Bookkeeper or Junior Accountant who would like to move into an IT Application Support job looking after clients' problems with their accounting software over the phone, by email and by remote connection to their PC's.

You need to have decent accounts knowledge (and an AAT would be good) with a real interest in accounting software and will be looking to make a career change into IT application software support, looking after clients accounting software queries. The role is based near Fleet and is paying up to £25k plus private health care, and there are great career prospects into Software Implementation, Software Training and Project Management in the future.

Extensive training will be provided on their accounting software solutions but you need to bring your knowledge of finance and accounts.

You will work for a leading software consultancy who are specialists in accounting and ERP software for small to medium sized businesses. They are a very successful business, they have a very friendly atmosphere and a supportive team of colleagues, always willing to offer guidance and to mentor you as you learn the ropes of software support. This is a really good working environment where people put in real effort and have positive attitudes and are full of energy and enthusiasm.

As an Application Support Consultant you will apply your knowledge of accounting, and ledgers and finance to resolve their clients' financial software queries, take ownership of each software support query, and ensure each client is kept informed of the progress of their enquiry, whilst managing your call logs and workload.

What do they want?

*A bright, enthusiastic and outgoing accounts assistant, bookkeeper or junior accountant who wants to move into Software Support (someone from an accounting background who has some knowledge of accounting software and understands accounting and business processes)

• Good problem solving and analytical skills, outgoing and personable
• Great communication skills - able to interact with their clients, work out their needs and provide solutions and happy talking to clients on the telephone
• Happy providing advice and support on accounting software solutions over the phone and via email and remote login to clients' desktops
• Some knowledge of accounting software such as Sage 200, Sage 50, Access Dimensions, PS Financials, Dynamics NAV, QuickBooks, Xero, Dynamics GP, Coda, SunSystems, Agresso, SAP, Oracle financials or similar.
