2nd / 3rd Line ERP Support - move to Release Management

This hybrid role is to manage the release cycle of an entire ERP solution, working for an overseas ERP global author who provide industry built ERP & CRM solutions designed to simplify business for distributors and manufacturers. There is a lot of responsibility and it would suit someone who is highly organised and process oriented, who understands ERP software, has strong 2nd and 3rd Line ERP Support and manufacturing experience, is top of their game in ERP Support, and wants to do something a little different.

The position is permanent and remote (UK candidates only) working from home anywhere in the UK, Milton Keynes is just a marker point, you can live anywhere. Trust here is big and hard work is rewarded, it's a fabulous company to work for with very flexible working time schedules - you can structure your day anytime from a 7.00 am start to an 11.00 am start. Salary to £45k.

As an ERP solution author, every 6 months they put out a new release of the software and these can be major complex upgrades. The job involves dealing with about 10 different departments making sure that each section of the company is aware of what is going on in each release, which is relevant to them. They will then have the opportunity to feedback on the viability and usefulness of the item being released.

So this role involves project coordination, project management, organising, liaising, harassment, pushing and also some gentle nudging. Strong ERP Support and manufacturing are essential so you are likely to have worked with Epicor, Acumatica, Syspro, E-Max, E-Facs, NetSuite, Syteline, Aptean, IFS or similar.

If you are a skilled 2nd or 3rd Line ERP support person, with great organizational and interpersonal skills, then this is a fabulous home based role working remotely with a global ERP software author, and being a lynchpin in their software release cycle. There can be anything up tom 200 new items in each software release, some are technical or database related, some are functionality, and you need to get the relevant people involved in those items to look at them, test and validate them and maybe sometimes say "it's not ready for release" or "don't release it".

So you will work on solution production and run systems to monitor and report on progress of each new release. This will involve managing schedules for field testing of each part of the solution, liaising with testing groups and documenting feedback, reporting field testing failures to the development teams for fixes, supervising workflow, and working with the Product Manager to ensure validation of the software prior to the go to market release stage. You will create field testing reports for stakeholders, (RAID / Escalations / Status Updates), schedule and manage validation tests, and ensure all checks have been completed on the new ERP release.
