- Description
This thriving software company are providers of a market leading, scalable, fully integrated ERP solution for SME's and have around 70 staff. They need an experienced people manager who can run their ERP consultancy team, giving them direction, and mentoring, coaching and managing them, and keeping them happy.
You will have 10-12 Project Managers and ERP Consultants reporting in to you, so you need to be organised and very structured. The job is office based near Rotherham with some flexibility for home working, and is paying up to £60k plus car allowance, £3k bonus and profit share.
Some experience and knowledge of ERP type software solutions is essential (manufacturing and/or distribution useful), you are familiar with structured implementation methods such as Microsoft SureStep, and you have managed a team of people as a Consulting Manager, Delivery Manager, Head of Projects, or Senior Project Manager. Aside from mentoring and managing, you are great at inspiring, leading and motivating a team, you are there for them to talk to and you are skilled at developing their talents and avoiding staff churn.
Your responsibilities will include the leading the ERP team, the successful delivery of quality projects, on time and to budget, relationship building with clients, forward planning of resources for multiple, concurrent projects, managing change requests, ensuring all project documentation is recorded accurately and has date lists and sign off, improving policies and standards, ownership of client delivery issues, and analysing project stats.
Recruiting and developing the team, managing their utilisation and performance, carrying out staff appraisals and drawing up personal development plans for them, will all be part of your remit.
You are a good leader, you think strategically, you follow technology trends, you can multi-task brilliantly and you have excellent people management skills.
Experience managing ERP projects into distribution and manufacturing companies, would be a bonus. Working for a reseller, consultancy, vendor or software house, in a client facing role, is essential.
