Are you an enthusiastic Implementation Consultant with experience of on-boarding clients with new payroll systems? This is a remote role for a Payroll Implementation Specialist who is client facing, has good functional skills and can communicate with bursars, financial controllers and accounting departments in the private education sector. To £38k + £5-6k car allowance and bonus. The position is based from home; you will probably go into head office once a month, and there is travel to client sites, sometimes overseas. The product is a cloud based payroll, workforce management & HR solution; some of the implementation is done via the web.
The job is working for a market leading, global software company who implement and support an MIS, Billing, and Payroll & HR solution into the private education sector. You will provide consultancy, implementation and training to a client base of over 600 fee paying independent schools and private colleges.
The product range includes a complete school wide MIS which includes all aspects of finance from payroll to billing, accounting, invoicing and the administration & academic areas. This job is to implement the payroll aspects which covers areas such as sending RTI obligations, producing payslips, BACS, paying third parties, and pension processing.
You will be responsible for business analysis, running workshops with clients, finding out their requirements, ensuring the software is configured to fit their needs, implementing the solution and creating & delivering training sessions.
Profile:
- Experienced Payroll Implementation Consultant
- You have worked for a software reseller, consultancy or vendor
- Full life cycle business process, analysis and implementation of payroll solutions
- Able to deliver engaging client training
- Knowledge of Cloud / SaaS solutions is useful, as is accounting software, and / or HR and workforce management implementation
- Client facing, happy to travel
- Implementation of software into the education sector, would be a bonus but is not a deal breaker!

Payroll implementations can be quite complex in schools, so you need strong knowledge of the payroll sector, as well as experience in a client facing role.
