Description

This innovative company develops and manufactures specialist safety equipment; head office is based in Witney in Oxfordshire, and they employ around 280 people in the UK. They are looking for a bright, enthusiastic Application Support Consultant / Support Analyst with experience of ERP software who is keen to get stuck in, learn Sage X3, and be part of a happy, busy IT team, giving support to the end users. Salary to £30k plus a bonus of £2-5k per annum.

They implemented Sage Enterprise Management (Sage X3) about 3 months ago as their new ERP solution, and the software will be running their manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, inventory, purchasing, finance & accounting processes. The products they manufacture are sold to customers in the oil & gas, automotive, engineering, construction, healthcare and utilities markets. They have manufacturing plants in three countries, and they distribute and sell their goods in over 95 countries.

They need someone who has proven experience of application support of ERP solutions. This could be Sage X3, or QAD, Dynamics NAV, Epicor, Deltek, SAP Business One, Plex, Sage 200 or 1000, Exact, JDE, Infor, Odoo, NetSuite, Syspro, Dynamics AX, IFS, Orderwise, or anything similar.

Your initial role will be 1st Line Application Support for the users, data management, warehouse operations, report writing, daily back-ups and assisting with ERP integration work. So there are a lot of interesting things to learn and get your teeth into. They have a solid career path, and you are likely to move into 2nd and then 3rd Line Support from here.

You are someone who works well under pressure, has solid application support and ERP software skills, builds good rapport with your colleagues and the users, has a calm approach and a confident personality and is happy and smiles a lot! The more you get to know the users and their needs, and talk through their issues with them, the easier it will be to sort out their problems, so this is a good position for someone who enjoys interacting with people.

This would suit an ERP Support Analyst who is inquisitive and enjoys a challenge, and is eager to learn new skills - someone who likes new technology and has a passion for software. ERP is the core skill, if you also have any experience of the Sage X3 ERP solution or of SQL, then that would a bonus.

The company has been in business for more than 50 years and is still developing and growing. They have a large R & D Team and their products continue to evolve and improve. It is a solid, creative business that is an exciting place to work. The core ERP solution is Sage X3 ERP, and the key standard modules they run include accounting, sales, inventory, manufacturing, purchasing, distribution, CRM, costings, sales order management and container management.

They are financially strong with high growth potential. It's a great place to work. Please get in touch with Jake King or Carolyn MacLurg at Ambis Resourcing to apply.
