Application Support - Accounts Software

Application Support Consultant / Support Analyst / Support Consultant for a permanent role with a thriving company who sell accounting, CRM and ERP solutions to SME's which cover stock control, accounts & finance, quotes, purchase order processing, e-commerce, CRM, sales, and much more. Based near Nottingham, the starting salary is up to £26k, with some flexibility for home working.

They are looking for a bright, enthusiastic and motivated candidate with experience supporting application software with an element of accounts or finance. So this could be ERP, Accounting or Merchant's software or any other business application software such as Legal Accounting, Construction software, Invoicing or Pricing software, Property Management software, WFM, Retail software, Dealer Management software etc.

Background needed for this role: - upwards of 12 months Application Support experience working with business application software, with some knowledge of the accounts, ledgers, double entry bookkeeping areas or an accounts qualification such as AAT or an Accounting degree. Really good communication skills as you will be talking to clients daily on the phone, as well as taking email support queries, good team working ability (lively, busy, friendly, fun team) along with the potential to progress into consulting, software training, pre-sales or project management.

You are a good problem solver, tenacious, and able to build relationships with your clients and cope under pressure when the support team is busy. And you are always helpful and sympathetic when dealing with non-technical people who have a software problem.

This role will sit in a busy team of Support Consultants, Implementation Consultants, Software Trainers and Project Managers who provide excellent service to their clients. You will do end-to-end support which ranges from simple application crashes, posting, journal, and data entry errors through to creating full duplicate client systems and analysing and solving the problems.
