Super internal 2nd and 3rd Line ERP Support role with a leading distributor of sports leisure goods, based in Milton Keynes. They have a 75,000 square foot distribution centre, they have been in business for over 40 years, and the group company turns over more than £300 million p.a. and employs 600+ people - all their businesses operate autonomously.
The job is to with the Milton Keynes Company who are the largest distribution business in the UK for the outdoor sports sector, with 200 + staff and a £150 million turnover. They run Sage X3 ERP as their business software solution and it covers finance, bar coded warehousing, distribution, demand forecasting, WMS, inventory management, CRM, logistics, sales & marketing. It integrates seamlessly with e-commerce platforms such as Magento and Shopify.
They have also developed their own (award winning) beautifully designed sales software specifically for retailers & customers to place and track their orders. This is already in place with over 400 of their retailers.
They are looking for a bright, focused ERP Support Analyst to do 2nd and 3rd Line Support, reporting to the Support Manager. Key skills are proven experience supporting ERP solutions (any experience of Sage X3 would be an added bonus), and knowledge of SQL Server (MS or Oracle) and SQL scripting & SQL queries.
You have strong application support and analysis skills and you are confident communicating and conversing with stakeholders at all levels from the boardroom to the warehouse. You work efficiently on multiple tasks calmly, and can patiently explain technical issues to non-technical users internally as well as external customers. You document your finds in detail and are able to test upgrades and developments of the ERP software.
Report writing expertise with Crystal or IReports is very desirable, and your application support will have been in areas such as stock control, warehousing, distribution, finance, e-commerce etc.
You can deal with multiple support queries at once, and are able to look at the business processes and analyse them to improve solution performance, scalability, stability and usability. More than anything, you are passionate about and IT and ERP software and getting the most out of the system so the business gets the full benefit of its investment.
