Senior ERP Application Support Analyst, internal role

End user internal role with bags of variety and responsibility, for a motivated Senior ERP Application Support Analyst / Business Analyst, based between Leicester, Lutterworth and Hinckley. £36k - £45k

This company's history goes back to the 19th century, when they started as a small 2 man business supplying to trade merchants. They remain a privately owned family company, but now have over 350 staff and 15 warehouse & distribution centres across the UK, a turnover of £100 million+ and a reputation for never giving up until a customer is satisfied. They are currently having unprecedented success and in 2021, they became the largest supplier in their field in the UK.

Your role will be business process analysis, and 1st and 2nd Line ERP Application Support to the users, including the business systems team, head office and back office staff, board directors, and warehouse and depot people across the UK, logging, tracking and testing your support cases with the vendors, and writing reports using SQL scripting and Power BI. You will use your business analysis skills to analyse the ERP systems, recommend improvements, and implement enhanced solutions to increase the success of the company and its profitability, and to work with the development team to build specific bespoke solutions where required.

You will also manage new projects from start to finish, deal with solution upgrades, systems testing and UAT, and assist with new implementations. So this job really does offer lots of variety, and plenty of challenges and responsibility. But you will report to the Business Systems Manager, and will be backed up by the business systems team, the developers, and the technical support and BI people. You will interact with everyone in the company from finance to sales & marketing, warehouse and depot staff, IT & systems people, HR and the board of directors.

Your background:

• Strong Application Support experience of ERP solutions, areas of particular interest would be stock & inventory management, order processing, distribution, purchase orders, warehousing, accounts, shop floor data, trade merchants etc.
• You have a good understanding of business processes, you can work with stakeholders and identify, build and implement solutions to improve the business
• Well versed in Excel and some experience of SQL: knowledge of Business Intelligence tools would be a bonus
• Strong analysis experience, good problem solving, an inquisitive and enquiring mind
• Report writing ability such as SSRS, Crystal Reports, Qlik Sense, Power BI, Tableau or similar
• Experienced with ERP solutions such as NetSuite, Intact IQ, Epicor, Dynamics NAV, Sage 200, Access Dimensions, Access EasyBuild, Infor, OrderWise, Protean, Kerridge, Keyloop CDK, Dynamics AX, Sage X3, In2grate or similar
• You love a challenge, you enjoy interacting with people at all levels, and see the benefits of team working to improve business processes and find solutions

You may come from an ERP Application Support background, or you could be an ERP Implementation Consultant looking for a different road, or a Business Analyst with strong ERP support skills. Whichever you are, this job will give you many new things to learn, and a lot of responsibility including managing the junior analysts. The company is financially robust, they still retain a family feel, but are fully committed to developing their IT systems to bring the most benefit to the business and to their customers.
