- Description
Two Project Management positions with a leading Dynamics reseller, a company with an awesome order book and a great reputation. Proud members of the Microsoft Dynamics Presidents Club, they have a strong onboarding process to get new hires settled in well, with training in which ever areas you need it. Projects are meaty and if you're looking to move across to MS Dynamics products and the world of ERP, this is a good opportunity.
PM's are home based, so you could be living anywhere in the UK so long as you are happy being based remotely. You will probably be on client site one day a week. You may be a Project Manager with a couple of years' experience, or someone who has been around the block for several years - so the salary range is open from £45k to £65k, plus car allowance, and bonus.
What is essential however, is that you have worked for a software reseller, software consulting firm or solution vendor, you have experienced managing multiple concurrent software implementation projects, allocating resource, and dealing with the consultants and clients' pain points, and you understand the role of a project manager in a consultancy. You have managed the whole project life cycle from sales handover through to support hand over.
Projects are fast paced, and requirements can change at any time, so you need to be comfortable working in this type of environment. They work with a lot of manufacturing clients; the projects mostly cover manufacturing, distribution and accounting and finance and you will lead multiple projects of 60 - 150 days which will cover services, licenses, and software.
You are skilled in project management of application software implementation projects. This could be ERP or accounting solutions as they work with MS Dynamics 365 Business Central, formerly Dynamics NAV. But it could also be any other application software such as Retail, Asset Management, e-Commerce, Field Service, WMS, HCM, Supply Chain, Financial Services, Property Management, Legal, Wealth Management, Construction software or Workforce Management etc.
Your role will be to create project initiation documents, schedule projects to complete on time and to budget, chair meetings, plan and manage projects in line with company processes, track and log each stage, manage risk, scope and creep, keep great documentation, allocate resources appropriately, manage the stakeholders, manage your own and your consultants time effectively, deal with conflict, and ensure that each project is delivered to a high standard and is a success.
Ideally you will have worked with structured methodologies such as Prince 2, Agile PM etc. and strong MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio) is essential. Self-motivation, tenacity, influencing skills, people management, and a passion for technology are required.
They have around 75 people and are still growing - the software is the latest cloud offering from Microsoft and the management team here is brilliant to work with. To find out more, contact Jake King or Carolyn MacLurg at Ambis Resourcing.
