This company designs and manufactures unique specialist products in the field of modern engineering and are at the forefront of their niche market. In less than 10 years they have grown to a business of over 50 employees and they continue to be innovative and are developing their products rapidly. You will report to the IT / Systems Manager and as a team of two, will work closely together to ensure that the companies information technology runs smoothly and grows with the business.
The IT environment here is Windows 7-10 OS and Windows Server 2012 networking, hosted on VMWare and they run a variety of software including MS SQL Server, MS Office, Dynamics NAV ERP, Solidworks, Sophos Endpoint Security and M-Files 2015.
The role will be varied and will include the following:
- Network Administration creating user accounts, managing permissions, configuring Group Policies and monitoring DHCP
- Network Security (note that any experience of Sophos Endpoint is highly desirable)
- Exchange 365 maintenance & configuration and adding users

You will support around 50 users and will have the opportunity to develop your skills and will get exposure to a wide range of technology. The Systems Manager has overall responsibility for all IT systems as well as further development of the Dynamics NAV ERP solution, and will work alongside you. However, you will be expected to use your own initiative and prioritise tasks accordingly, and will have good communication skills with the ability to talk to users at all levels from factory floor to the board room where required. You will also be someone who can communicate technical information to colleagues and solve problems.
This is a great company to work for. They are innovative, their products are exciting and at the forefront of design and manufacturing and they are growing rapidly - which means there will be career prospects in the future as the IT department grows too.
